how do I practice this?

1.  pray
   1. for God to help you recall appropriate scripture for various occasions
   2. pray scripture; add and/or appropriate the words if scripture to your payers
2.  meditate on scripture
   1.  read at least one passage each day. let the word or phrase roam around in your mind and heart
   2.  as you watch the news, reflect on how God’s word might speak to the events
   3.  reflect on God’s word in your conversations
3. memorize scripture
   1.  when you find yourself captivated by a scripture, wrote it on a card and put it somewhere you will see regularly
   2.  Start with smaller passages. Work your way up to memorizing an entire book
4.  be intentional about acting out scripture
   1.  be creative
   2.  what would it look like to “Love your neighbors”
   3.  try practicing the proverbs
