Reflection questions:
When was the last time a scripture passage deeply convicted you to make a change in your life?
Do you feel that, at times, the truth of God’s Word has been “snatched away” from you before it could take root? Why?
What do you think causes a heart to become hardened or indifferent to God’s Word?
How do you typically respond when you hear God’s truth-are you open, indifferent, or resistant?
Have you become spiritually stagnant, coasting in your faith rather than seeking to grow? In what ways have you grown comfortable in your faith, avoiding challenges that might stretch you?
Do you notice areas in your life where you are avoiding deeper spiritual commitment? If so, identify them. What are you willing to do about it?
